MicroClassify allows Microbiologists to upload pre-classified microscopy images of tissues to train, test, evaluate, and improve deep learning models, helping them build their own image classifier AI tool from scratch.
MicroClassify democratises AI for medical microbiologists worldwide, helping them use AI to support their findings, and diagnose millions of patients around the world quickly and confidently. This also solves for the limited number of AI engineers available to microbiologists to custom-build tools, and reduces the learning and adoption curve for using emerging technologies for medical purposes. Making the deep learning tools openly available helps customise tools as per the unique practice - for example a custom tool for stage 2 breast cancer or a custom tool for sickle cell anaemia. This allows innovation to accelerate quickly across the spectrum of medical knowledge and applications, allowing more and more diseases to be supported with AI diagnosis. The microbiologists also have the option of building the tools on their image data, or collaborating with each other to use larger datasets for building more accurate tools. Plus, the interface also allows users to connect with their own database, ensuring no misuse of uploaded data happens.
The application is at a prototype stage within Firebase studio, and will be published to its full scale shortly.
